In 1999 Yachtowner pioneered the Fleetshare concept of shared ownership - with a fleet of identical, highly specified yachts located in different parts of the world. Each “yacht owner” is able to use any of the boats, with identical features and handling qualities, wherever he pleases, thus having his own virtual yacht in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Pacific without the hassle and expense of long haul deliveries. Today the programme is moving towards medium sized and larger vessels, with full time yacht managers ensuring quality of service and maintenance at each location. The Ocean Star 56 pictured here is the smallest of the superb yachts considered suitable for this programme.
